T. is a “genius”, who is the equivalent of the Greek daimon: a divine being who was born at the same time as the person he protects, and looks after what he does his entire life.
But the genius also looks after places, families, the Roman “gens” and protects children, especially since he, himself is formed like a child.
T., in Roman beliefs, is Asclepius’ son, the God of medicine. The God child, helps the patients, in particular, to complete his healing.
Sometimes, he is depicted bringing a lamp, like Jung’s sculpted stele, in his Bollingen house.
I imagined him with a lamp, but in a house looking at the spectator.
